Pastor Darryl N. Ford has the heart of God to see lives changed and transformed by the power and love of God.  He loves the Word of God and knows first-hand that there is nothing too hard for the Lord.  God can work miracles with a willing, submitted heart.

 

Pastor Darryl is a native of Albany, New York and lived in different locations as he served in the armed forces as a Missle Facility Specialist.  It was during this time that he rededicated his life to the Lord in 1991. That same year, he returned home to Albany, NY and began to serve under the leadership of Bishop Michael Young at the former Tremont Street Church of God.  He was a faithful member for four years and gleaned much from Bishop Young, who was also like a Spiritual Father to him. Pastor Darryl received the baptisim of the Holy Spirit at Tremont Street Church of God. 

 

In 1995, Pastor Darryl and his family, following the leading of the Holy Spirit, joined his mother, Pastor Dorice Vaughan, shortly after she started Open Ministries.  Little did he know that God was grooming him to one day become Pastor of Open Ministries.  Pastor Darryl and his family served in Open Ministries as leaders and in various other capacities such as the men's ministry, praise & worship leaders, teachers, Co-Pastor and ultimately Pastor.

 

He successfully completed the Pastorial training program sponsored by Call to Pray Ministries (Apostle Betty Gilmore) and was ordained as Lead Pastor of Open Ministries on October 29, 2005.

 

Pastor Darryl is a family man who enjoys spending time with loved ones and sharing his hilarious sense of humor.  He also loves to fish and hunt, and has worked as a heating and cooling specialist in the Capital District for over 20 years.

 

Pastor Darryl and his lovely wife, First Lady Tracy have been married for 23 years and have four (4) beautiful children, Cieyel, Gabrielle, Alyscia, and Darryl Jr. They are also the proud grandparents of three darling angels, Sanyiah, Arielle, and William Jr.  First Lady Tracy ministers by Pastor Darryl's side as the head of Praise and Worship and the administrative team.  Through her anointed gifting in singing and exhortation, First Lady Tracy prepares the atmosphere each week in a mighty way as she leads the worship team to worship the Lord in Spirit and in Truth!  She also is the owner of Tray's of Delight, which provides custom cakes for every occasion and is an award-winning Avon representative.
